The 2010-11 school year is just around the corner for Texas A&M-Kingsville and with it comes a brand new sports season. Once again Javelina fans will be able to listen to and watch their favorite team in a variety of different ways.
The Macareno Signs and Graphics of Alice Javelina Radio Network will once again broadcast all football games and the Wednesday night Hog Calls Radio Show that runs from 5:30-6:30 p.m. throughout the football season and begins on August 25. The show is hosted by Javelina Sports Information Director Shane Meling for the third straight season and is broadcast from Young’s Pizza in Kingsville. Bob Pena enters his third season as the Javelina Play-by-Play man.
The members of the Macareno Signs and Graphics of Alice Javelina Radio Network are ESPN 1230 AM (KSIX) in Corpus Christi, KTAI 91.1 FM in Kingsville, KOPY 92.1 FM in Alice and KNAL 1410 AM in Victoria.
The Javelina Weekly Roundup is a new show that is starting this year and will air Saturday mornings from 8-9 a.m. on ESPN 1230 AM in Corpus Christi. The first show will air on September 4 and will run the entire length of the school year.
The Javelina Athletic Department has signed on for a second year with Meridix for to webcast home football, volleyball, men’s basketball and women’s basketball games.
