Best Overall Defensive Performance - Texas A&M-Kingsville
The Javelinas shut out Texas A&M-Commerce 21-0, extending the defenses scoreless streak to 11 quarters. Aided by a steady rain and muddy field, TAMK allowed just 18 yards rushing, while TAMC quarterbacks completed just 10 of 35 passes for 51 yards. The Lions converted just 1 of 15 third downs and the offense gained first downs on just one drive (two of the team's 5 first downs came via defensive penalties).
