Happy 22nd Birthday to Mike Talamantez, a 6'1 250 pound senior DE from Laredo, TX.
In 2009 Talamantez was one of the most productive members of the defensive line. He recorded 50 tackles to lead all of the team's linemen. He had seven tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble in a win over East Central. He broke up four passes at West Texas A&M and finished the season with seven. He recovered a key fumble in the fourth quarter of a win over #11 Tarleton State. He had three tackles and forced a fumble in a win at Texas A&M-Commerce. He had at least three tackles in 10 straight games. Share
