Jimmy Saddler-McQueen is back with the Dallas Cowboys.  He is on the 53 man active roster as of yesterday.

Javelina Radio Show

Tonight at Youngs Pizza Shane Melling our SID hosted the weekly Javelina radio show. Jimmy Lugo, DeIra Glover, Trent Perkins, and myself were on today.

Javelina Practice

Another good practice in the books.  Coach Atterberry has been impressed with the way the team has been practicing, especially for this time of the year.  The team has been practicing since August and there is still heated competition every day in practice.

Wednesday Morning

This morning all of the Javelina athletic staff had a meeting to discuss everything going on this week and Javelina athletics in general.  The players are getting their workouts in the Wednesday workout groups.

Darkness

The time change has obviously given us less light for practice. We had a shorter practice due to the time change and practice gets shorter this time of the year. Today's short and crisp Tuesday practice looked good. Coaches are making sure the players are focused for the last regular season game. Today we also watched film and gave the players scouting reports.

Visitor of The Day

We had a random visitor in our offices today. He provided a laugh for all the coaches in his sweater vest as he was walking throughout the offices.  Everyone wants to be a part of Hog Nation.

Top Five Remain Unchanged

The top five teams remain the same in this week’s AFCA Division II Coaches’ Top 25 poll. Abilene Christian (Texas) remains at No. 2, followed by No. 3 Northwest Missouri State, No. 4 Texas A&M-Kingsville and No. 5 Albany State (Ga.). Former No. 6 Central Missouri and No. 7 Augustana (S.D.) drop out of the Top 10 this week with losses to No. 3 Northwest Missouri St, 17-16, and Wayne St., 26-14, respectively.

The Javelinas defense once again had a stellar game, limiting Midwestern State to just one TD and 161 total yards. The second half was especially dominant, with TAMK scoring on all four of their possessions, while shutting out MSU. The Javelinas held the ball for more than 24 minutes, outgained MSU 216 to 27 and allowed just two first downs, one on a penalty, and one on the final play of the game.
